Turin is a former industrial city which now, after the Winter Olympics Games 2006, reveals itself as a cultural city. The visit to the Reggia of Venaria, which was used as a model for the one of Versailles, recently renewed, is the main focus of this journey. But also the “Magical Turin”, a nightly journey which will lead us to discover a different face of the city, both charming and mysterious; Turin, together with London and Prague, is indeed part of a magical triangle. The cycling paths runs along the four city rivers; into the parks; under the large boulevards, which are very similar to those of Paris; the park of Valentino with its castle and the medieval village and the castle of Moncalieri, which is part of the Unesco together with the Royal Residences of Savoia, formers kings of Italy. Much more than this awaits you during these marvellous cycling days.
1st day historical and mysterious Torino
Arrive in Turin at 12, in the afternoon visit of the historical medieval and baroque centre and cycle in the parks along river Po; taste of chocolate in a historic “café” approx.20 km
2nd day The Reggia of Venaria
Turin - Venaria by bike - visit of the “Reggia” - park of Mandria - cycle back to Turin along the Dora Riparia river approx. 40 km. Nightly bus tour “Magical City” at 21.00.
3rd day Torino - park of Valentino - along river Po - Medieval village - castle of Moncalieri - park of Stupinigi - Torino approx. 30 km
4th day Torino - along river Po - Settimo or Chivasso approx. 30/45 Km. The tour end in the afternoon.
