Castles & parks short version for families

This itinerary takes us to visit, in addition to the historic center of Turin with its royal residences, the numerous parks in the belt of the city and in the immediate surrounding area, the Po park, the Pellerina park, the famous Valentino park, the Mandria park (6500 hectares of woodland), the Vallere park, the Stupinigi park, the Avigliana lakes park. Along the route there are many former residences of the Savoy including the Valentino castle, the Stupinigi hunting lodge, the Venaria palace, but also small castles such as the Borgo Medievale in Turin or the Avigliana castle, whose medieval historic center will leave you speechless. All routes are on safe roads.

1st day Individual arrival in Turin – bike tour to discover the medieval and baroque Roman city; by bike starting from the Pellerina park to the splendid Reggia di Venaria approx. 12 km
2nd day Venaria  – Avigliana approx. 30 km
We skirt the gardens of the Reggia and enter the Mandria park, the hunting reserve of King Vittorio Emanuele II; following the cycle path of the Val di Susa, with a view of the Sacra di San Michele, you arrive at Avigliana, a delightful medieval village that is reflected in the two moraine lakes.
3rd day Avigliana – Piossasco approx. 18 km
You reach the Piccolo lake and then Trana, from here you follow the beautiful cycle path through the woods and along the Sangone river to Piossasco.
4th day Piossasco – Turin approx. 28 km
Always following the cycle path along the Sangone you enter the Rivalta park pedaling in the greenery until you reach the Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi, a baroque masterpiece by the architect Juvarra; the last stretch is along the Po passing through the Valentino park and the medieval village.
End of the tour in the afternoon.
